The Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League play their home games at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida (NFL). On the site of the former Gator Bowl Stadium, which was built in 1927, the stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, which included some of the original stadium’s features. It’s on 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land in downtown Jacksonville, and it’s on the St. Johns River.
The stadium is routinely used for college football, concerts, and other events in addition to hosting the Jaguars. The annual Florida–Georgia game, a college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia, is held there every year. The Gator Bowl, a post-season college bowl game, is held annually at the stadium.
