The name “Blue Jays” originates from the bird of the same name and the blue represents the traditional color of Toronto’s collegiate and professional sports team. The team plays its home games at Rogers Centre, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the home games are played in Dunedin, Florida, and Sahlen Field in Buffalo, New York.
The principal owner of the team is Rogers Communications alongside Mark Shapiro as the President. The General Manager of the baseball team is Ross Atkins with Charlie Montoyo as the Manger.
