Armani Watts was born on March 19, 1996, and currently plays for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). He attended Texas A&M and played football. Watts graduated from North Forney High School and played football there.

Watts attended Texas A&M University and played collegiate football under head coach Kevin Sumlin from 2014 to 2017. He was a four-year starter for the Aggies and was a rookie team leader in interceptions.

He started 12 games that season and recorded 87 tackles, 10 for loss, four interceptions, five pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks. Watts was a three-time All-SEC performer and a third-team All-America selection.

Watts was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 124th overall choice, using the pick received in the Marcus Peters trade. He recorded his first career sack in Week 4, against the Denver Broncos.

On October 9, 2018, he was placed on an injured reserve with a groin injury sustained in Week 5. Watts was named MVP of Super Bowl LIV, which the Kansas City Chiefs won 31–20 over the San Francisco 49ers.
