Born on September 10, 1975, Brendan Daly is an American football coach who works as linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.
Before joining the Minnesota Vikings, Daly worked as a defensive line coach for teams such as the St. Louis Rams and the New England Patriots. Daly is married to Keely Endecott Daly, with whom he has three sons and two daughters.
Brendan Daly High School And College
Daly graduated from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois, and then went on to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he got a bachelor’s degree in history.
Daly had several stops coaching in college before getting into the NFL levels. In 2005, he was the defensive line coach at Villanova, and in 2004, he was the tight ends coach at Illinois State.
After working as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State from 2001 to 2002, he became an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2003. Daly worked as a graduate assistant at Maryland in 2000 after coaching tight ends at Villanova in 1999.
In 1998, he took his first collegiate coaching position at his alma school, Drake University, where he coached tight ends.
After graduating from Drake, where he played tight end, he began his coaching career at Ridgewood High School in New Port Richie, Florida in 1997.
