David Merritt, a former linebacker and defensive backs coach with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, was born on September 8, 1971. (NFL). In the seventh round of the 1993 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected him. He attended North Carolina State University and was a member of the football team there.
Merritt has also coached at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well as Virginia Military Institute, as well as for the New York Jets.
