Dontae Johnson plays cornerback for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers. He was picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft after playing collegiate football at North Carolina State.

Johnson grew raised in South Plainfield, New Jersey, after being born in Plainfield. Before going to The Pennington School, he attended South Plainfield High School in his freshman year. He made the first-team all-prep team in New Jersey. During his senior season, he recorded 108 tackles, six interceptions, and three forced fumbles. In high school, he participated in AAU basketball.

Dontae Johnson’s injury status

According to ESPN.com’s Nick Wagoner, Johnson left to practice some time ago due to foot pain. The nature of the injury is unknown, but he missed at least a few days of practice. During the team’s Week 4 loss to the Eagles, Johnson had a groin injury but played through it.

He was unable to play in the two games that followed. He has been battling with the groin for a while. Medical attention was served on him and the effects were realized.

Dontae however recovered from his injury situation and is back to training camp. He is no more on the reserve injury list.
