George Krieger Kittle was born on October 9, 1993 and is a tight end for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers (NFL). He was picked by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft after playing college football for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. He has made three Pro Bowl appearances and was named to the 2019 First-Team All-Pro team.
Kittle was born in Madison, Wisconsin, but relocated to Iowa when he was very young. He went to Iowa City West High School, Cedar Falls High School, and Norman High School in Iowa City, Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Norman, Oklahoma, respectively. To play collegiate football, he has committed to the University of Iowa. Bruce Kittle, his father, was a former college football coach as well as a player at Iowa.

In his five years in the NFL, Kittle has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times. After dealing with a calf injury early in the season, he has made a good comeback this season. Kittle has 850 yards and a career-high six touchdowns on 63 receptions in 11 games. He is still recognized as the best run-blocking tight end in the league.
