Wesley Carter Welker, affectionately known as Wes Welker is a former receiver in American football now turned coach in the same sport. He is the wide receivers coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League ( NFL). He has also served previously as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans and the San Francisco 49ers.

Wes was born on May 1st, 1981 and played some college football before getting into the NFL. He played his college football for Texas tech red raiders. He was also signed as an undrafted free agent for the San Diego chargers in 2004.

While in the NFL, he played for the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and St. Louis Rams. He is also very well decorated winning many honours during his playing days.

Notable amongst these honours are: 2x first-team All pro and 5x Pro Bowl. He is also tied as the record holder for the longest receiving touchdown (99yards).
