Marcus Dixon is a former defensive end in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets.

Marcus Dwayne Dixon was born on September 16, 1984, in Rome, Georgia, and was an American football coach and a member of the New York Jets (NFL).

Currently, he serves as the Los Angeles Rams‘ assistant defensive line coach. Dallas Cowboys signed Dixon as an undrafted free agent in 2008 after he went undrafted. Hampton University was the home of his collegiate football career.

Dixon was previously convicted of statutory rape and aggravated child abuse while still in high school in 2003. The Georgia Supreme Court later overturned the second charge.

Dixon competed in football, basketball, and track and field at Pepperell High School. First-team All-area honors as a junior came after he racked up 98 tackles, 12 of which were for loss, 3 sacks, and 7 passes defended.

A chipped bone in his left knee limited Dixon’s ability to play the season opening as a senior. He had knee surgery on September 17 and was unable to play football again as he recovered.
