Joe Bleymaier, who was born on August 9, 1982 in Boise, Idaho, is an American football coach who now serves as the wide receivers coach for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL).
He formerly worked with the Chiefs as a quality control coach, pass game analyst, and assistant quarterbacks coach, as well as at the University of Colorado Boulder as a quality control coach.
Bleymaier is the son of Gene Bleymaier, longtime athletic director at Boise State and San Jose State.
After completing his law degree, he worked as an assistant director of compliance for the University of the Pacific’s athletic department before co-founding a technology company with his brother.
Former college teammate and Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, as well as former Delaware quarterback and then-Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, recommended Bleymaier for a position as a quality control coach with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016.
In 2018, he was elevated to pass game analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach, and the following season, the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31–20 in Super Bowl LIV.
