Costas Takidellis, a champion racer, died early Wednesday morning of 27th April 2022, after his car collided with an Athens bridge. He was 19 years old at the time. Takidellis was a dirt racing champion in his native Greece.
And today’s terrible news jolted Greece to its core. According to national media, the 19-year-old was driving when his Ford Focus ST lost control on a bridge in Nea Ionia, north of Athens.
The truck smashed through the bridge’s safety barriers. Takidellis was killed when the plane crashed and turned upside down in mid-air. Images from the sad aftermath showed stunned rescuers encircling the damaged automobile.
And it was subsequently discovered that a passenger, a 21-year-old guy, had survived the crash despite suffering terrible injuries. Takidellis, who drove for Yacar Sport, has since received recognition.
Only a year ago, the motor sensation won the Panhellenic Cross Car Championship EKO Racing Dirt Games. His most recent race was in February in the FIA Rally Star event in Germany.
Unfortunately, there is no information indicating whether the 19-year-old dirt racing champion had a girlfriend or not, or information about his family.
