Is Eric Bieniemy leaving the Chiefs?

Eric Bieniemy Future with the Chiefs is uncertain.

NFL Network reported last week that Bieniemy’s contract was up, and there has been no word on whether the Chiefs want to re-sign him.

Bieniemy signed a one-year contract for the 2021 season after interviewing for head coaching jobs this offseason but was passed down.

Due to the expiration of his contract, the Chiefs will have to make a significant choice on Bieniemy’s future in free agency.

Bieniemy and Reid are set to meet to discuss their futures and whether or not Kansas City‘s head coach returns next season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

When he first hired him in 2013, Reid had big hopes for him, and when he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2018, he had even higher hopes for him.

Having previously left Kansas City to become the Giants’ offensive coordinator, Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka will be an even greater asset to the Kansas City offense in 2022.

Bieniemy’s reappearance cannot be predicted. Even taking a year off after a grueling season in which the Kansas City Chiefs missed out on the Super Bowl and Bieniemy was passed over for the head coach position has crossed his mind.
