James Byron Casey, simply known in American football as James Casey is a tight ends coach for the Cincinnati Bengals football team. He was born September 22, 1984, in Fort Worth, Texas, United States of America.
Casey is a former baseball player and football player. He played baseball for the Chicago White Sox baseball team for three years after which he retired to play football in 2006.
He played college football for the Rice Owls football team at Rice University after which he was drafted by the Houston Texans during the fifth round of the 2009 National Football League(NFL) draft. In 2011, he was honoured when he was announced as the Texans starting fullback.
In March 2013, James signed a three-year contract worth $14.6 million with the Philadelphia Eagles. Two years after being with the Eagles, the Denver Broncos team signed a one-year deal with him.
James began his coaching career in January 2016. He was the offensive analyst coach for the Houston Cougars football team. In December that same year, he was promoted to be the tight ends coach for the team. He coached the Cougars up till February 2019 when he was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals to be their tight ends coach.
