How old is Joe Buck?
Joe Buck is 52 years old. He was born on April 25, 1969
Joseph Francis Buck, the son of sportscaster Jack Buck, is an American sportscaster.
He is most recognized for his work with Fox Sports, where he served as the network’s principal play-by-play announcer for the National Football League and Major League Baseball.
Apart from 1997 and 1999, when Bob Costas called the World Series for NBC, he has been the play-by-play announcer for the World Series every year since 1996.
Buck was born in St. Petersburg, Florida (where his father worked as a broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals) and grew up in the St. Louis area, attending St. Louis Country Day School.
In 1989, while still a student at Indiana University Bloomington, he started his broadcasting career.
Buck was a reporter for ESPN’s coverage of the Triple-A All-Star Game in 1989 and called play-by-play for the then-Louisville Redbirds, a minor league affiliate of the Cardinals.
He began reporting for CBS affiliate KMOV in St Louis in 1991. Buck also began stepping in for his father on CBS telecasts in 1991 by broadcasting for the Cardinals on local television and KMOX radio.
He was the play-by-play announcer for University of Missouri basketball broadcasts during the 1992–93 season.
After being recruited by Fox Sports, Buck continued to call Cardinals games, first with his father on KMOX and then on FSN Midwest television.
However, as his network responsibilities grew, his local workload diminished, and it was revealed prior to the 2008 season that he would no longer be announcing Cardinals telecasts for FSN Midwest.
