Is Khalil Mack Good?
Khalil Mack is voted one of the top ten players in the NFL every year by his peers. It’s understandable. Donald racked up 46.5 regular-season sacks between 2018 and 2020, collecting two of his three NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in the process.
He’s averaged 10 sacks per season over the last four years. Over the course of a fourteen-year career, this average will put him in the top six in career sacks.
He had around 47 percent of the sacks as the 50th greatest recorded number of sacks, which was achieved by Willie McGinnest over the course of 12 seasons.
On the season, he has 57.6 unassisted tackles and 78.5 total tackles. It’s a safe assumption that he has all the makings of a Hall of Fame career.
He’s a six-time pro bowl linebacker who was named defensive player of the year in 2016. Mack has more than 50 sacks, 350 tackles, and 15 forced fumbles in his NFL career.
Mack is a top-tier linebacker in the league.
Despite the fact that Mack’s total production has cooled the past two seasons, the Bears believe he still plays at Donald’s ultra-elite level.
