Michael Timothy Shildt, simply called Mike Shildt was born on August 9, 1968 in Charlotte in North Carolina in the United States of America. His father died in 1997 and he lost his mother in November 2019 after she got sick with pulmonary disease.
Mike is known for being the former coach and manager for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He was dismissed from the team in 2021. He currently works with Major League Baseball(MLB) and is required to deal with on-field disciplinary issues and judge at both the MLB and minor league levels.
Mike played baseball in high school at Olympic High School and also played college baseball at the University of North Carolina (UNC) for the Asheville Bulldogs.
He started coaching at West Charlotte High School and he led the team to win their first season in 20 years. Mike was later hired by UNC to be the assistant coach for the Charlotte 49ers baseball team. He was with the team for five years.
Mike started working at the St. Louis Cardinals firm in 2017. He started as a coach and after a year of being a coach, he was promoted to be the manager of the team in 2018 till his dismissal in 2021.
