Miller has agreed to a six-year, $120 million agreement with the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
According to Rapoport, the contract includes an average of $17.5 million per year for the first four seasons, as well as $51 million in guarantees.
Miller’s engagement occurred after the edge rusher won his second Super Bowl, this time with the Los Angeles Rams, who were anticipated to develop a solid campaign to keep him and pursue another title drive in 2022.
According to Rapoport, Los Angeles kept fighting until Wednesday, with coach Sean McVay pleading with Miller to stay. However, Buffalo’s all-day focus on Miller won out.
Miller was instrumental in the Rams’ 23-20 triumph against the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI last month. His two sacks against Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow were the most by a Rams defense, and both came on third down, resulting in a punt.
Injuries have slowed the eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time first-team All-Pro in recent seasons.
Miller’s move to Los Angeles didn’t make a huge effect during the regular season, but his outstanding performance in the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI victory put him back on the radar of clubs looking for pass rushers.
Buffalo was the team that made the strongest push to sign the future Hall of Famer, and the Bills are hoping that his talents can help them reach the Super Bowl.
