Ouka Leele was the stage name of Spanish photographer Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma, who passed away on May 24, 2022.
She was born on June 29, 1957. Jaime Gil de Biedma, her uncle, was a well-known poet, and Esperanza Aguirre, her cousin, served as President of the Community of Madrid from 2003 to 2012.
She was one of the most prominent photographers during the Madrilena movement, and she also worked as an illustrator and published a number of poetry volumes in addition to being a photographer.
She was an active participant in the Agence VU. Her passing occurred on May 24th, 2022.
