Sean McDermott Biography

Sean McDermott is a professional American football head coach of the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. Sean commenced his coaching career with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he served as an assistant coach from 2001.

Sean McDermott Early Life

Sean Micheal  McDermott born March 21, 1974, is an American football coach. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska. Sean Michael Grew up in Pennsylvania where his family then relocated from West Chester and lived in Lansdale when Sean Michael was in his second grade.

Sean Mcdemotti Education

He had his first education at the North Penn High school before he was later sent to La salle college High school. He became all southeastern Pennsylvania at defensive back in 1992. Sean Michael Mcdermott graduated in 1993 from La salle college High School.

In 1992 and 1993, He was also a national prep champion wrestler. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance at the College of William and Mary.

Sean McDermott Coaching Career

In 1992, Seam Michael McDermott joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a scouting administrator. He was later promoted to Andy Reid’s coaching staff in 2001. He was the defensive control coach and later assistant defensive backs coach. He is a 2X NFC champion in 2004 and 2015. He became Carolina Panthers Defensive coordinator from 2011 to 2016.

Sean was also a defensive coordinator and secondary at Philadelphia Eagles from 2009 to 2010. In 2017 he became the head coach of Buffalo Bills after Rex Ryan was fired.
