Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal, popularly known as “Shaq”, is an American former professional basketball player who is a sports analyst on the television program Inside the NBA.

Shaquille O’Neal played three years at LSU from 1989 to 1992 and averaged 22 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.

He was a national player of the year as a sophomore and a first-team All-American and SEC player of the year as both a sophomore and a junior.

Shaquille O’Neal was born to his parents by the names of Lucille O’Neal and Joseph Toney. O’Neal has a stepfather known as Philip Harrison who his mother married later on.
