The Worst Indianapolis Colts Team in History
Tho there have been many worst teams in the history of the Indianapolis Colt, the worst of them can be said to be the 1991 team which was indeed one that did the least in their history.
Not a difficult choice.
These Colts won a single game, scored the fewest points (8.9 per game) of any Indianapolis team (and finished last in the NFL that season), were 26th in a 28-team NFL in points allowed (23.8).
The team has far and away from the worst SRS of Indianapolis Colts teams at minus-17.3. That’s the eighth-worst SRS rating in NFL history; the 2009 Los Angeles Rams (minus-17.4) are the only more recent team ahead of them on the list. The 1991 Colts’ only win was 28-27 over the New York Jets in Game 10. (These Colts did take New England to overtime.)
The Indianapolis colt dropped its ninth consecutive game to open the season and become the league’s only winless team.
