On March 21, 2020, Aspinall was supposed to make his UFC debut against Raphael Pessoa at UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Edwards. Pessoa, alleging an injury, withdrew from the fight and was replaced by Jake Collier, however, the event was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, the pairing was preserved, and the fight will take place on July 25, 2020, at UFC on ESPN 14. In the first round, he won via technical knockout. This victory earned him the prize for Best Performance of the Night.
