Bennie Jauan Jennings is an American football wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He played college football at Tennessee and was selected by the 49ers in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Born on July 10, 1997 (age 24 years), Cowan, Tennessee, United States of America Jauan began his high school education at the Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
He played quarterback in high school. A 4-star recruit, Jennings committed to the University of Tennessee to play college football over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Ohio State, Penn State, and Virginia, among others.
Jennings spent four years at Tennessee under head coaches Butch Jones and Jeremy Pruitt. In college, he switched to wide receiver.
Jennings had an immediate impact throughout the 2015 season. He recorded three receptions for 56 yards in his collegiate debut against Bowling Green in a 59–30 victory. He demonstrated his dual-threat abilities later in the season, in a 28–27 loss to rival Florida, when he threw a 58-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Joshua Dobbs on a trick play.
Jennings was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round with the 217th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was waived on September 5, 2020, and signed to the practice squad the next day.
