Kyle Patrick Juszczyk is an American football fullback for the National Football League’s San Francisco 49ers. He was born on April 23, 1991. He attended Harvard University and was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
As a result of his touchdown in Super Bowl LIV, Juszczyk became the first Harvard graduate to do so in the history of the sport.
Juszczyk was born in the Ohio town of Medina. He attended Cloverleaf High School in Lodi, Ohio, and was a tight end for the Cloverleaf Colts in high school football.
Juszczyk attended Harvard University, where he was a tight end for coach Tim Murphy’s Harvard Crimson football team. He was a Crimson from 2009 until 2012. In 2012, he earned a unanimous first-team All-Ivy League pick following his senior season.
Juszczyk caught 125 passes for 1,576 yards and 22 touchdowns in four years at Harvard.
Juszczyk was projected as a third or fourth round choice coming out of Harvard by numerous experts and scouts. NFLDraftscout.com graded him as the best fullback available out of 94.
Although he was not invited to the NFL Combine, Juszczyk attended Harvard’s Pro Day and completed all needed drills and positional workouts.
