Which College And High School Did Joe Bleymaier Attend?
Joe Bleymaier attended Bishop Kelly (ID) secondary school in Idaho before enrolling in the University of Delaware for his bachelor’s degree in 2005 then preceded to Marquette University for his Law Degree in 2009.
Bleymaier lettered as a wide receiver for four years at Delaware (2002-05), catching 74 passes for 864 yards and 11 touchdowns. On the Blue Hens’ 15-1, I-AA National Champion squad in his sophomore year, Bleymaier was a key player.
For three summers in 2007-2009, Bleymaier worked as a football operations internship with Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was an assistant coach and executive VP of football operations.
On the advice of former Delaware quarterback and then-Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy as well as former college teammate and Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, Bleymaier became a quality control coach with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016.
In 2018, he was elevated to the positions of pass game analyst and assistant quarterbacks coach, and the following year, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31–20 in Super Bowl LIV.
During the 2020 AFC Divisional Round, Bleymaier was credited with helping the Chiefs convert a 4th-and-1 play and advance to the next round of the playoffs in his role as an assistant coach responsible for pre-game scouting of the opposition.
Aside from his work behind the scenes, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid praised him for his unique and imaginative offensive plans.
