Josh Bullock attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2001 to 2005.
Bullocks went to Nebraska for his college football career, where he started 28 games over three seasons. In 2003, he had ten interceptions and 49 tackles, and he was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award as a result of his performance.
He was a member of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. Bullocks has previously played for the Chicago Bears and the Oakland Raiders, among other teams. In January 2015, he began working as an assistant coach for the Omaha Beef of Champions Indoor Football team.
Bullocks and his brother Daniel attended Hixson High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from 1997 to 2001. Josh and Daniel were both multi-sport standouts who excelled in track and field as well as football. Josh was also a member of the track and field team.
Josh was a running back for most of his high school career, while Daniel was a quarterback for the same period. During their tenure as head coach of the Hixson Wildcats, the Bullocks brothers guided the team to four consecutive TSSAA football playoff berths.
In addition to the University of Tennessee, Josh and Daniel were aggressively sought by a number of other NCAA DivisionI colleges before deciding on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln as their final destination.
