Which NFL Teams Did Zac Robinson Ever Play For?
Former NFL quarterback Robinson, who was originally picked by the New England Patriots in the seventh round (250th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft, had previously played four seasons in the league. Later in his career, he had brief spells with the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals.
The New England Patriots selected Robinson in the seventh round (250th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. On July 21, 2010, he agreed to a four-year contract. On September 4, 2010, he was released.
The Seattle Seahawks signed Robinson to their practice squad on September 5, 2010.
Robinson was activated to the Seattle Seahawks 53-man roster on November 6, 2010, to serve as a backup to Charlie Whitehurst against the New York Giants on November 7. On November 8, he was waived.
The Detroit Lions signed Robinson off waivers on November 9, 2010. On September 3, 2011, he was waived.
On September 6, 2011, Robinson was added to the Bengals practice roster. As a result of his performance in 2011, he was added to the Bengals’ offseason roster for 2012.
Although he was waived, Robinson was re-signed to the Bengals’ practice squad at the end of the preseason after appearing in all four of their preseason games in 2012. He was put on the PUP list right before training camp because of an elbow injury before to the season in 2013.
