Troy Walters Career History As A Coach
As offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and wide receivers coach at Indiana State University, Walters joined the staff. From 2010 to 2011, he worked at Texas A&M University as the wide receivers coach.
After that, he worked as a wide receivers coach at North Carolina State University in 2012 and at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2013 and 2015.
In 2016, Walters joined Scott Frost’s staff at UCF as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, leading one of the finest offensive attacks in the country.
In December 2017, Walters was a finalist for the Broyles Award, which honors the best college football assistant coach.
In December 2017, Walters moved to Nebraska to become Frost’s offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. The University of Nebraska and Walters parted ways on January 17, 2020.
On February 10, 2020, the Cincinnati Bengals hired Walters as their assistant wide receivers coach.
Due to Bob Bicknell’s absence for COVID-19 pandemic protocols, he took over as wide receivers coach for the team’s weeks 10 and 11 games in 2020 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Football Team.
