Daniel Sorensen is an American football safety for the Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football at Brigham Young.

Born on March 5, 1990 (age 31 years), Daniel grew up in  Riverside, California, United States where he had his high school education at the Colton high school.

He was said to have proceeded to the  Brigham Young University where he played college football for the school team.

Sorensen was raised by his parents, Kory and Roxann Sorensen, in Grand Terrace, California. He served a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The Chiefs brought Sorensen back on a one-year, exclusive rights deal for the 2016 season before signing him to a four-year, $16 million contract in 2017.

Sorensen was testing the market again as an unrestricted free agent in 2021 when he signed a guaranteed one-year, $2.46 million deal with the Chiefs.

Daniel Sorensen is said to be married to Whitney with whom they have been blessed with four children namely; Brooks, Kennedy, Harrison and the last born being Mccoy James.
