Tommy Townsend is an American football punter for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He went to high school at William R. Boone High School in Orlando, Florida.

Subsequent to going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Townsend signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. In the fourth round of his youngster season in 2020, he had two dropkicks that went 65 yards against the New England Patriots.

He completed the game with a normal of 60.8 yards, a Chiefs establishment record for dropkick normal in a game (at least 4 endeavors), 47.8-yard net average. On November 1, he finished his first professional pass on a phony dropkick against the New York Jets.
