Who Is Coach Nick Jones?
Nick Jones is a former player and coach in American football and is an offensive assistant with the National Football League’s Los Angeles Rams.
Nick Jones Biography
Nick Jones was born on July 5, 1985, in the Georgia town of Bowdon. He was a center for the Georgia Bulldogs throughout his college career.
Jones worked as a graduate assistant on the offensive line for the University of Georgia in 2010 and 2011. From 2012 through 2017, he served as the tight ends and tackles coach for the Coastal Carolina University. In 2018, Jones worked as a tight ends coach for the Air Force.
Texas A&M University hired Jones in February 2019 as co-special teams coordinator and tight ends coach for the Mountaineers. In 2020, he joined the Atlanta Falcons as a diversity coaching fellow, according to the team.
Georgia Southern hired him in January 2021 as their special team’s coordinator and tight ends coach, but he departed the school on February 23, 2021, to join the Los Angeles Rams as an offensive assistant on the team’s offensive staff. The Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI during Jones’ first season as head coach.
