Stephen Christopher Spagnuolo (December 21, 1959) is a defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.
He returned to Andy Reid after working for him as a defensive assistant from 1999 to 2006. Spagnuolo has two Super Bowl rings as a defensive coordinator, with the New York Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Spagnuolo is the first offensive and defensive coordinator in NFL history to win two Super Bowls with two different clubs.
He served three seasons as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams after two seasons with the Giants, then worked as an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens, a one-season tenure with the New Orleans Saints, and then returned to the Giants as defensive coordinator in 2015.
On December 4, 2017, he was named interim head coach after the previous coach, Ben McAdoo, was dismissed.
In college football, Spagnuolo has coached at the University of Connecticut, the University of Maine, Lafayette College, Rutgers University, Bowling Green University, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
