Manchester United’s next manager is Erik ten Hag.

In the summer, the Ajax head coach has agreed to take over as interim manager from Ralf Rangnick.

The Dutchman has signed a three-year contract at Old Trafford, and he has a lot of work ahead of him with a team that is presently sixth in the Premier League.

He is a former player and manager in the Dutch professional football league. From the end of the 2021–22 season, he will take over as manager of Manchester United in England.

For FC Twente, De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk, and FC Utrecht, Ten Hag was mostly a centre-back. He spent three seasons with FC Twente, where he won the KNVB Cup in 2000–01.

In the 1990–91 season, Ten Hag won the Eerste Divisie with De Graafschap, ten years before winning the cup with FC Twente.

After the end of the 2001–02 Eredivisie season, he retired from active playing at the age of 32 while playing for FC Twente.

Ten Hag Managerial career

He was named head coach of AFC Ajax on December 21, 2017, after Marcel Keizer was fired by the club.

In the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League, he led his Ajax team to the semi-finals for the first time since 1997, by defeating Real Madrid 4–1 in the round of 16 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, and also defeating Juventus away 1–2 after drawing the first leg 1–1 at home in the quarterfinals.

He took his club to a 1–0 lead against Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the semifinal at the newly completed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
