Kansas City Chiefs All-Time Leading Rusher In History
With 7,260 yards on the ground, Jamaal Charles is the Kansas City Chiefs all-time leading rusher.
Jamaal Rashaad Jones Charles, a former American football running back, was born on December 27, 1986. He was picked in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs after playing college football for the University of Texas, where he won the 2006 Rose Bowl.
Charles’ debut season with the Chiefs was underwhelming; as a backup to halfback Larry Johnson, he only carried 67 times for 357 yards. The following year, in 2009, he had his breakthrough season. Despite only starting 10 games after Johnson was suspended, Charles carried 190 times for 1,120 yards in his second season.
After that, Charles spent time with the Denver Broncos and the Jacksonville Jaguars. With 5.38 yards per carry, he is the all-time lead in yards per carry among players with at least 1,000 carries.
