Yandy Diaz is a Cuban professional baseball third baseman and outfielder who was born to Jorge, a former professional baseball in the United States.

Yandy Diaz plies his trade with the Tampa Bay Rays of the Major League Baseball alias MLB. Diaz began playing baseball in his country Cuba where he played for the Naranjas de Villa Clara in the 2012-13 Cuban National Series.

Prior to joining the Tampa Bay Rays playing squad, he batted for the Cleveland Indians from 2017 to 2018.

The Cleveland Brown and Tampa Bay Rays agreed to a three-team trade in which the Rays acquired Yandy Diaz alongside Cole Sulser for Jake Bauers, and the Seattle Mariners acquired Edwin Encarnación from the Indians for Carlos Santana.

Díaz missed a period because of injury during the season, just accumulating 307 at-bats. He hit 14 homers and 38 RBI. Díaz hit two homers in the 2019 American League Wild Card Game as the Rays crushed the Oakland Athletics.
