The Astros wore retro-inspired clothes when they relocated to Minute Maid Park in 2000. When it comes to color schemes, the Astros’ jerseys for the first time did not contain any navy at all. The colors were influenced by the historic train terminal that now stands where their new ballpark will be. The Astros for the 2022 season still use the White, Dark blue, and Orange colors.

The Astros’ uniforms were redesigned in 2013 to feature the traditional navy and orange color scheme from past generations. Block navy lettering with an orange accent emblazoned with the city name (road) and team name (home) appeared on both outfits.

Front-facing piping has also been installed. Navy and white trimmed the team’s name and number on the orange alternative. It was initially designed with an orange “H” star, but in 2016 it was replaced with “Astros” in orange, which was the team’s official name.

In addition to navy hats with the “H” and an orange star, an orange brimmed version for use on the road was also brought back. All-orange hats were used on the field until 2015, then from 2016 to 2018, the Astros wore an orange cap with an orange brim on the navy alternates.
