Scott Daniel Servais is a former player and current manager of the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball. Servais was a major league catcher for eleven seasons before becoming the deputy general manager of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Texas Rangers’ director of player development.
Servais debuted in the major leagues in 1991 with the Houston Astros, where he remained until the middle of the 1995 season when he was moved to the Chicago Cubs for Rick Wilkins along with Luis Gonzalez.
He made his single post-season appearance with the Cubs during the 1998 season. He signed as a free agent with the San Francisco Giants after the Cubs fell in the National League Division Series as a wildcard club to the Braves.

Jill Servais, Scott’s wife, graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in English. She and her husband were also previously active in providing food for hospital employees in Sweden.
