The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team in Detroit. The football team plays its home games at Ford Field-based in Downtown Detroit.
The team competes in the National Football Conference(NFC) North Division. Detroit was established on July 12,1930 that was 91 years ago. They therefore played their first season in the same year the club was established.
Their headquarters is located in Allen Park, Michigan. The owner of the team is Sheila Ford Hamp who is also the chairman of Detroit. The president of the team is Rod Wood with Dan Campbell as the head coach and Brad Holmes as the General Manager.
The Lions won four NFL Championship Games between 1935 and 1957, all prior to the Super Bowl era.
