Which College And High School Did Dan Pitcher Attend?
Dan Pitcher was a student at Cortland high. After high school, Dan went on to study at the State University of New York at Cortland where he had a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a 4.08 GPA in 2010 and earned a master’s degree in Sports Management.
He is a long-time supporter of SUNY Cortland and the State University system. Pitcher is the son of Michael Pitcher, a SUNY Cortland instructor who also oversees the Communication Disorders and Sciences Department’s audiological services.
Matthew, his brother, is a senior kinesiology major at the College who also plays offensive line for the football team. Both of his parents graduated from SUNY Geneseo.
In 2012, he joined the Red Dragons coaching staff as the wide receivers coach after his playing career at SUNY Cortland ended.
He was a scouting assistant for the Indianapolis Colts after one season at SUNY Cortland. In 2014, the Colts upgraded him to a pro scout.
Pitcher was a member of a football team that finished the regular season with a 41-23 (.641) record, three playoff appearances, two AFC South titles, and a trip to the AFC Championship Game.
Pitcher was in charge of scouting opponents ahead of time, appraising free agents, keeping track of rosters, and assessing players from other clubs.
