Mike Matheny is an American former baseball player currently serving as the manager for the Kansas City Royals. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 13 seasons as a catcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and San Francisco Giants.
Matheny later consumed seven seasons as the chairman of the Cardinals. One of the most rehearsed monitored players of his period, he won four Rawlings Gold Glove Awards. As a director, Matheny’s gatherings won one National League (NL) banner and three NL Central division titles.
