The Texas Rangers has not won a World Series title yet.
The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball club in the United States that is situated in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Texas is a member of the American League (AL) West division in Major League Baseball (MLB). After playing in Globe Life Park in Arlington from 1994 to 2019, the Rangers moved to the new Globe Life Field in Arlington in 2020. The name of the team is the same as that of the law enforcement agency of the same name.
The Washington Senators were founded in 1961 as an expansion team granted to Washington, D.C., after the city’s first American League ballclub, the second Washington Senators, relocated to Minnesota and became the Twins (the original Washington Senators played primarily in the National League during the 1890s). The new Senators relocated to Arlington after the 1971 season and made their debut as the Rangers the following spring.
The Rangers have appeared in the MLB playoffs eight times, seven times after winning division titles in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010, 2011, 2015, and 2016, and once as a wild card club in 2012. In 2010, the Rangers became the first team in franchise history to move past the division series, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays. After defeating the New York Yankees in six games, the squad earned their first American League pennant.
The Rangers lost in five games to the San Francisco Giants in the 2010 World Series, the franchise’s first. The next year, they won the American League again but fell in seven games to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series.
