Matthew Stafford Parents: Meet Margaret Stafford and John Stafford

Stafford was born in Tampa, Florida to John and Margaret Stafford. He lived in Dunwoody, Georgia, while his father attended graduate school at the University of Georgia.

John, Mathew’s father, has always been a strong supporter of his eldest son as well as his mother Margaret who also assisted him in developing his confidence in the game from high school to college games.

Tho Margaret was living in Dallas, she had travelled to Detroit on multiple occasions to cheer on her son in the stands or to watch the games on the NFL Channel.
