Founded in 1903 and located in Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Twins are a major league baseball club in the United States. A member of the American League’s Central Division, the Twins play in Major League Baseball. The team’s name is derived from the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, which are located just a few miles apart.

In 1901, the Washington Senators were established as a franchise. In time for the 1961 season, the franchise relocated to Minnesota and adopted the moniker Minnesota Twins. Metrodome was the home of the Twins from 1982 to 2009, and Metropolitan Stadium was the team’s home from 1961 and 1981. It was on this date in 2010 that the club made its Target Field debut. The Senators won the World Series in 1924, followed by the Twins in 1987 and 1991.

First and foremost, the Twins salary for this season is a good thing for the team to keep in mind. All but Josh Donaldson will earn less than $10 million per season, while the other five guaranteed players have highly favorable club contracts for the Minnesota Twins.
