The Miami Dolphins are an American football team headquartered in Miami, Florida. They are a part of the NFL’s American Football Conference East division and compete in the National Football League.
Joe Robbie, an attorney, and politician, and Danny Thomas, an actor, and comedian, formed the Dolphins. They first competed in the AFL in 1966. Since 1946, when the Miami Seahawks played in the All-America Football Conference before becoming the first version of the Baltimore Colts, the region had been without a professional football club.
The Worst Miami Dolphins Team in History
The 2019 Miami Dolphins team
The Miami Dolphins have been beaten by 34.3 points per game a quarter of the way through the 2019 season. That was the first time a team had been outscored by more than 27.5 points this late in a season in modern history.
The Dolphins are the only team in NFL history to lose each of their first four games by 20 points or more (just 15 other teams have done so three times in their first four games), and they’re also the only club to surrender more than 40 points a game a month into the season.
That season was a bit of worry for the Dolphins. Things weren’t just moving right. It was devastating.
