The Oakland Athletics are an American professional baseball team based in Oakland, California. The Athletics compete in Major League Baseball as a member club of the American League West division. The team plays its home games at the Oakland Coliseum.

The team is managed by  Bob Melvin with the general manager of the team also being David Forst.

Oakland Athletics are owned by John J. Fisher and was founded in 1901, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States with its headquarters at  Oakland, California, United States.

According to reports, the team has some great players like first baseman Matt Olson as well as third baseman Matt Chapman and pitcher Chris Bassist.
