Jeff Hardy, the star of AEW, was arrested in Florida on Monday on various charges, including felony DUI. The accusations include a third drug- or alcohol-related DUI conviction within ten years, driving with a suspended, canceled, or revoked licence, and violating driving licence restrictions, according to the Volusia County Corrections website.

The DUI allegation is a third-degree felony, according to Marc Middleton of WrestlingHeadlines.com, while the other two counts are second-degree misdemeanors.

Hardy was still being held at the S. James Foxman Justice Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, as of Monday afternoon, according to Middleton, and was expected to appear in front of a court on Tuesday.

Hardy, 44, is one of the most decorated stars in WWE history, having been arrested many times for various reasons, including DUI or DWI, during his pro wrestling career.

Prior to Monday, Hardy’s most recent arrest was for DWI in October of this year, while he was still under WWE contract. He had already been arrested for public intoxication three months prior and for DWI in March 2018.

From 1998 to 2003, 2006 to 2009, and 2017 to 2021, Hardy worked for WWE on various occasions. His most recent WWE career came to an end in December when he was released after exiting through the crowd after a six-man tag team match at a home show.

Matt Hardy, Jeff’s brother, later stated that Jeff turned down WWE’s invitation to go to treatment, resulting in his discharge. Matt stated that Jeff did not believe he need rehabilitation at the time, and he agreed with the assessment.

In March, the three-time WWE world champion, five-time WWE intercontinental champion, and nine-time WWE tag team champion made his AEW debut by rescuing Matt from Andrade El Idolo and others.

Since then, Jeff and Matt have been working together, most recently defeating The Young Bucks in a tag team bout last month at Double or Nothing.

The Hardys had been scheduled to compete in a three-way ladder match against Jurassic Express and The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, but that match may now be in jeopardy.
