The Trampoline Wrestling Federation was founded by Hardy and his brother, Matt, as a means of promoting the sport of trampoline wrestling in North Carolina.

OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) was eventually formed as they grew older. As a tag team, the Hardy Boyz were signed to full-time contracts by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1998.

In part because of their participation in Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches, they became famous in the tag team division. The team’s popularity soared after Lita joined, earning them the moniker “Team Xtreme.”

After Jeff and his former tag team partners disbanded in 2002, he began to enjoy greater success as a solo wrestler.
