Derrick Gore the Kansas City Chiefs player was born on December 13, 1994. He is an American football running back and wears jersey number 40 for the Chiefs. Getting into the limelight of American football was a herculean task for this gentleman.
During Gore’s high school he was so much passionate about the game that he played for his school team. Playing for the school’s team was not enough for Derrick Gore as he failed to land for himself a Division I scholarship offer.
This did not break him as he forged ahead to a community college; Coffeyville Community College. But even in Coffeyville, he failed to make the active roster partly because he suffered from injuries during the training time and missed his freshman season. In all, he kept his cool and forged ahead for better days.
The following year, Derrick transferred to Alabama after receiving an offer to join the team as a walk-on. During his time at Alabama, he was made to play on special teams mostly as a redshirt freshman and during this period he started to put in the extra work to be spotted. Eventually, Gore transferred to Louisiana-Monroe and spent the rest of his college years there as a requirement for NCAA eligibility.
In 2019, he joined the Los Angeles Chargers team but was cut and later asked to join the practice squad. From there, he went to Washington Redskins back to Los Angeles Chargers, and then finally the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to NFL official website, Derrick Gore is 5ft. 10 inches tall and weighs 212lbs. or 96 kg.
