The Texas Rangers are a baseball team based that ply their trade in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) West division.

Ivan Rodriguez is recognized as the most famous player to have played for the Texas Rangers. Nicknamed “Pudge” is quoted to have said; “I got my nickname on the very first day of camp. Chino Cadahia, who was a Rangers coach at the time, gave me that name.

He saw that I was short and stocky, so, from Day One, he started calling me “Pudge.” It caught on, and the rest is history.
