How old is Alexander Lukashenko?
Alexander Lukashenko is 67 years old. He was born on 31 August 1954
Lukashenko was born in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic’s Vitebsk Oblast’s Kopys settlement. Since a 2009 interview, Lukashenko has stated that his real birthday is August 31, the same as his son Nikolai’s.
This generated considerable uncertainty because up to that point, all official sources had said August 30, 1954.
His mother had gone into the hospital on the 30th in labor but did not give birth until after midnight, according to a later explanation.
Trokhym Ivanovich Lukashenko, his maternal grandpa, was born near Shostka in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast. Lukashenko was raised without a father, and his classmates teased him about his single mother.
As a result, the origin of his patronymic Grigorevich is unknown, and there are several theories regarding who Lukashenko’s father was, the most prevalent of which is that he was a Roma passing through the region.
Ekaterina Trofimovna Lukashenko, Alexander’s mother, had a second son, Alexander’s older brother, who perished.
Ekaterina worked in low-wage positions on a railway, a construction site, a flax mill in Orsha, and lastly as a milkmaid in Alexandria, a small village near the Russian border in eastern Belarus.
Lukashenko attended secondary school in Alexandria. After four years of study at the Mogilev Pedagogical Institute, he received his diplomas from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy in Horki in 1975 and the Belarusian Pedagogical Institute in Mogilev in 1985.
